Sydney and Ridge form a deep connection while writing music together but try to fight their rising attraction to each other since Ridge has a girlfriend he loves and Sydney is recently heartbroken. But matters of the heart can rarely be controlled. My favorite thing about CoHo books are the characters she creates. I loved both main characters of this story… even if the plot was hard to connect with at times since you want to love the characters falling in love but in this story, they SHOULDN’T be. You can’t justify cheating, even poetically. This isn’t a story where the girlfriend is awful and you can’t wait for them to break up so Sydney and Ridge can finally be together either. She’s amazing. Both Ridge and Sydney realize that, as well, and truly don’t want to feel what they feel. I did feel like it gave it a more unique storyline. And there is a twist early in (that I don’t want to spoil) which forms a huge basis for the rest of the book that also makes it unique and the best aspect of the book. The coolest thing about this book is the QR code that links to a soundtrack of the songs they write in the book that you listen to as they come up in the story. Was a very immersive, fun experience!
