MR DARCY'S DRAMA

Love flourishes at Pemberley. Join the Darcys and their guests in this witty, sparkling romantic comedy set in the world of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice.Theodosia Beckford, Mr and Mrs Darcy’s new governess at Pemberley, delights in the Gothic. But even as she pens dramas of high romance and imagines every creaking door portends a spectre, realism rules when it comes to love. The Darcys and their guests entertain themselves in the long, dark evenings of winter by putting on a play. So Theodosia’s stirring drama, Castle Wolfenstein, comes to candlelit life on the stage in the Great Hall, under the direction of Mr Darcy’s old friend, Mr Justin Aconbury.Justin is captivated by Theodosia. But she knows that while the differences of wealth and rank might not matter on stage, they surely do in real life. She is a penniless governess. He is the son of a nobleman, possessed of a large fortune. Let him offer for one of the young ladies in the drawing rooms of Pemberley, not come like King Cophetua to the schoolroom to seek her out. Justin will have none of this. As the curtain falls on Castle Wolfenstein, Theodosia must choose the ending to her own drama. Tears and regrets, or happiness and laughter. The choice is Pride, or love?"Great characters, great comic moments, great romance"Chicago Sun Times
