Nine Betts Lane

In 1900, when Florence Preston first moved to the house in Betts Lane, she did not feel that there was anything amiss. But when she became pregnant, it was the start of unexplained happenings and bad luck spanning three quarters of a century. She receives a warning from a gypsy to leave the house but finds that circumstances always prevent her - as if the house is holding her back, laughing at her. It seems as if only certain people, those with a psychic ability, are affected by the house, usually with tragic consequences. Florence wondered, would there ever be an end to the sadness and bad luck? Would she ever be able to leave? Or would the house eventually claim her?
