No One Saw a Thing: A Novel

A parent's worst nightmare! I could fell the rising panic and guilt of poor mother Sive when she sees the doors closed and then discovers Faye missing. I did struggle to connect with Aaron, as the father he just seemed to be too dismissive about possible leads, too busy trying to cover things up. Where as Sive was much more open to support and waw chasing up even the smallest chance of a lead. The group of Aarons friend were a strange bunch, each one hiding something from the others, with more than a few skeletons in the closet. I did enjoy trying to suss out the truth, and was shocked once it all start coming out. As a parent, I could feel myself getting caught up in the book, worrying about poor Faye more and more. I liked the way the author ended the book with updates on how life turned out for the group of friends. An emotional read, I really enjoyed this.

This book felt like reading a season of 24 or something similar.Good thriller/mystery kind of book that has you on the edge of your seat most of the time trying to figure out who committed the crime. The chapters in this book are very short which I'm usually a fan of but there seems to always be something happening in this book that it becomes difficult to keep track of all that's going on. That could just be a me problem though. The book itself is pretty well written but it's also written with a narrator perspective and every book I've read up until this book has been from the perspective of the people in the book so this also took some getting used to.I also loved the audiobook of this book as it's read by the Irish actor Jessica Regan and she does an excellent job at reading this story but it also makes the narrator perspective a lot better.Overall I did really like this book, it didn't have a lot of filler moments and it seemed to flow quite well.I'll definitely read more books from Andrea Mara based on this.
