This story is all about a Jewish Orphan's life during World War 2. Felix sets of to find his parent, but little does he know the adventure that awaits him. Felix is such a brave character and his action prove it. Once is and eye opener to World War 2, it allows you to see the events from another perspective and not just from a text book. I thought it was extremely clever how Morris Gleitzman starts every chapter with 'once'. It's one word that hold so much meaning for this book. I think the impact is quite underrated.
