One Shot, a DI Patrick Lennon Short Story

DS Carmella Masiello is set to testify in court pertaining to one of her investigations. When a key forensics report is delayed with the lab, Masiello is asked by CPS Mariel Jenkins to assist with testing of the evidence to expedite results. Masiello agrees to witness the 'amateur' forensic testing, but is unaware that, when using Jenkins' own property as a laboratory, things may take a turn for the worse. Using her intuition and a little help from DI Patrick Lennon, Masiello must determine if she's been pulled into the middle of a dispute that reaches further than her badge can protect her.
