Peter Skilling

(“Peter Skilling” was originally published on Salon.com in 2004, and reprinted in F&SF shortly after that. It was originally a future authoritarian dystopia based on the U. S. response to terrorism. This version is slightly revised.)

Peter died 43 years ago in a mountain climbing accident. He is revived with advanced medical technology. Peter is eager to begin his life again, but due to strict anti-terrorism laws he must first answer for the crimes of his past.
