This book. I cried. I got angry. I simultaneously needed to stop reading while also not being able to put it down. This is the kind of book that sticks with you awhile and has you second guessing the author’s own mental state. A book that makes you think about the wickedness/corruption of the world and how well you really ever know anyone. Some of the depravity written about in this book was so hard to read but it was a gripping story that has you wanting to get to the truth as much as the characters. Very well written!
Sadly, not for me.Slow paced, repetitive and predictable. I have read many of her older books and they were well paced, plot twists and not as long. I couldn’t wait to finish this purely because it was boring.
Slow, repetitive and way too long. This was a book club read and despite having read some of her previous books, I could not wait to finish it but not for the right reasons.
