Red Summer

After the constant hustle and bustle of city life in Philadelphia and coping with the death of her father, fourteen-year-old Miranda Sinclair quickly jumped at the chance to spend the summer down South with her grandparents when her mother suggested it. She loved how clean and fresh the air smelled and how big the sky seemed down South without the hinderance of smog and massive sky lines. Miranda imagined long lazy days of not waking up until noon, walking barefoot along grassy meadows and picking fresh flowers. She also secretly hoped to see Lance Miller again.
