 This was one of those lucky "read it because you have heard the title and other people seem to like it and you don't remember anything about it" reads. If I Stay is very much a character-driven story. There is a plot, but it is honestly background for exploration of this family and Mia's relationships in general. I enjoy that type of thing, though I am appreciative that this was a novella and not a full-length novel because the padding that would have come with a novel would not have served this well. I will be honest and admit I did not cry, though there were parts I found affecting to various degrees. The dreaminess of the entire novella, while appropriate and intriguing, made it hard to connect deeply enough to cry. Although the characters are kind of too-good-to-be-true, the relationships feel real and intriguing enough to drive things along. I liked everyone, and they all felt different. This was a nice detour from what I normally read, and I'm glad I picked it up. 

This book is so beautifully written.Forman knows how to tell a story.This book sends the reader on an emotional roller-coaster .Reading it,you get sucked into the book ,and feel as if you are witnessing all events with your own eyes.It brings tears to eyes and breaks your hearts.Despite all that,you can't put the book down.You want to know if she decides to stay or to leave.Were you in her shoes,what would you do? That's the question you will ask yourself reading this book.That's a tough call. You need to read the book to know the answer. After finishing it,still you are craving for more.The good news is there is a sequel.Yaaaaay.

Me ha costado mucho meterme en la historia de este libro no se por que creo que esa vuelta atras contando cosas es lo que se me ha hecho mas pesado porque en cuanto se sabian cosas del presente era todo mas ameno y vamos hasta los 3 o 4 ultimos capitulos que han sido los mas entretenidos pero bueno leere el segundo a ver como termina la historia
