Well, ones like this series, where they are GOD TIER! ( Don't let the 4.5 rating fool you. This is still amazing!)Rio… Rio was always gonna be a hard one, I think, because of how we see him grow over the first four. And while I don't know that I *loved* his characterisation, I can admit that i can see how that would fit. That he would hide pain and longing behind jokes. Hallie… Hallie was not really what I expected. I don't know *what* I expected, but, uh, yeah. She was really good! Don't get me wrong. I just feel like i missed something. Or she did. And them together I think was the strongest. The rebuilding of a relationship that never seemed to end (*cough* mutual celibacy *cough*) and the way we saw them work up to that? Wonderful!I'm not sure i liked the reasoning for the breakup, but you know, I see why. So yeah. Maybe I'm grumpy it's over, and that's colouring this, but it missed the things that I found in the other books. In The Right Move, at least. …which i will probably be re-reading soon because I miss Indy and Ryan 👀
