Awal sampe separuh buku ngantuk parah, tapi abis itu mulai naik tensi nya pas ada tokoh ketiga.
Minusnya kebanyakan flashback sih, meski emang flashback² itu ada artinya, tapi too much aja rasanya.
Endingnya sangat² pecah, love it!
Tell me why I finished this till 3am and couldnt sleep? WELL ITS THAT WORTH IT! This is what I mean when I say I want a mystery thriller. From the very first page, something just feels... wrong. Every conversation, every character, every little detail had me doubt everything. I genuinely couldn't trust a single person in this book.
And the worst (or best) part? Every time I finally thought, "Okay, I know who's lying. I know what's happening," the end of each chapter would completely flip the narrative and make me question everything all over again. The book literally plays with your mind.
As the story went on, it just kept getting darker, creepier, and more unsettling. I was so invested that I couldn't stop reading because I needed to know what was actually going on- the truth.
AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE TWIST. Not just one... MULTIPLE. That revelation made me rethink everything I had read before. I actually had to stop for a second because my brain refused to believe what was happening. It was one of those moments where you realize the story you've been reading... isn't even the story you thought you were reading 😭

One thing this book does so well is remind you that you can know someone for 10, 15, even 20 years... and still never truly know them. That thought honestly gave me chills.

This book completely exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere, the suspense, the mind games, the twists... EVERYTHING just worked. Alice Feeney, you are an absolute genius👏 This is hands down one of the best books I've read, and it's going to be very hard to top this one. Absolute perfection.
În primul rând vreau să spun ca nu m-aș fi așteptat în viața mea la acel twist, deloc. Nu am rămas cu gura căscată( la mine asta ar fi o dovadă ca tocmai ce am aflat m-a lăsat mască 😂) dar, totuși, citeam și creierul meu procesa informația pe care tocmai o aflase . Finalul nu prea mi-a plăcut , nu prea îmi plac genul ăsta de finaluri în cărți și chiar într-un fel m-am și săturat de el , mereu în unele thrillere sunt genul ăsta de finaluri… dar e ok , tot mi- plăcut cartea. La final au mai fost încă unele perspective din partea altor personaje și a fost tare să văd și un fel de După cele Întâmplate . Cartea mi-a părut ciudată rău și creepy , încă mai creepy decât orice altă carte horror pe care eu am citit-o , m-a făcut să nu mă simt în siguranță , mai ales spre sfârșit . Nu a fost genul de horror stereotipic, cu case bântuite și altele dar toată atmosfera a fost nașpa în sensul bun al cuvântului 😂. Au fost multe secrete și m-a și înfiorat puțin. Spre final vreau să spun ca ma bucur ca am citit această carte și sper ca o sa mai citesc și altele din ce a scris autoarea. ❤️
