This is the second book in the series, and while it would be a great read on its own, if you have not read the first you should go back and read it in order to really get a better understanding on what is happening. Melissa has really upped the ante with this one, giving us readers more danger, aliens and steamy scenes! We are given more insight into the lives of not only Kari and Vahru, but also Jeff and Willow. I loved seeing them grow, in their relationship with each other and how they become one with the village also. There were several twists and turns in this book that I was constantly engaged with the story, and never felt bored with it. The ending definitely caught me by surprise, and I cannot wait to see how our heroes' stories continue!
