3.2 ~ 3 it has a good premise, but the vibes and tropes weren't mh cup.of tea. And I can’t tell you how much the female main character annoyed me at the end. The thing I really liked was that although there were many bits where there were miscommunication and could have defo ruined e everything, these people had a conversation and sorted it. I just wished they talked to each other before everything was messed up. The last half could have totally been avoided.
I don’t know why I felt this had to be a February read, when it’s set during summer, but hey. It was a cute and enjoyable read! Definitely enjoyed it better than a different TB book I’ve read.Hallie and Julian both dealt with insecurities. It’s not really written that way, but their individual quirks and problems are insecurities. They both go through character development to grow and change for not only themselves but for each other.Hallie is the chaos to Julian’s organization. Those personalities wouldn’t normally mesh well, yet he loses that pull for structure when he’s around Hallie. It’s confusing and thrilling at the same time. Hallie always enjoys spontaneity and flying by the seat of her pants. That chaotic and impulsive behavior may get her in a snag or two.I found myself laughing and shocked several times from her antics throughout this book. It was fun to read and it didn’t take me long to devour it. The one thing that I found weird was the amount of times Hallie had issues with Julian’s secret admirer letters. What the heck, girl. 😂
