This is Steinbeck Country, the fertile valleys, hills and seacoast of Steinbeck's most novels were laid. Here, through Steve Couch's camera artistry more than 90 photographs are reproduced in full color, and his sensitive writing about the land and its people, you can see and know what Steinbeck Country is really about. Included are some last photos taken outside of Cannery Row before it was closed, and fascinating panoramas of ethnic and culture groups populating the land with the dramatic scenery, and the changing climate which characterize the region.
