In this EBook, ’The Deerhound – A Passage Through Time’, is gathered together in one place much of the Deerhound information canine historian, Juliette Cunliffe, has collected over the years, so that it can easily be enjoyed by others with an interest in this wonderful breed, with which she has shared her heart since the 1980s.
Lovers of Deerhounds are fortunate that so many early writers wrote about the Deerhound, and that talented artists drew and painted them.
Originally she planned only to include excerpts from books, not breed specific books, but those containing references to and articles about the Deerhound. Some have treasured copies of those books dedicated entirely to the breed, but the Deerhound has appeared in many other places too.
She later decided to include a selection of Deerhound artwork, not all of which is well known, so this compilation is a feast for the eyes, as well as an opportunity to share the words of wisdom penned by Deerhound lovers and enthusiasts of the past. Texts are included in chronological order, interspersed with artwork of the general era.

Included are paintings by the artists listed below, and Deerhound sections from the following books by the following authors, dating from the mid-nineteeth century to early twentieth.
