The Essential Welder: Oxyacetelene

This two-volume text takes a competency-based approach to teaching oxyacetelene welding to the beginning student. Through exercises and practical projects, the Classroom Manual and Lab Manual combine to give the student a comprehensive, hands on introduction to one of the world's most common welding processes. Each unit in the Classroom Manual presents objectives, outcomes, safe welding practices, welding theory and weldability of materials, and up-to-date welding terms. Initial basic lab exercises ease the student into the welding process; tasks become more challenging as the student's skills develop. Completion of the manuals prepares the student to enter the job market as a Level 1 welder.
