This book is the tenth volume of ""Confucianism mateial series"", mainly collecting the mass data of Chinese theorists about ghosts and gods. All the theorists are the materialists in most scholars' eye and they won't belive in the exist of ghosts and gods. In fact, many famous ancient theorists had their own explaination on ghosts and gods like Zhang Zai, Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi. They disscuss this problem from the aspect of ethics and fete, which was benefit for the formulation of sacrifice etiquette. The ghosts and gods they worship are the one after careful theoretical exploration. Only by grasping the essence of these ancient literatures can we truly understand the thoughts of the ancient people.
