The Glassblower

Jessica Dennis can’t wait to put as much distance between herself and her parents as she can. When she turns eighteen, she packs her belongings into her old car and roars away from her home in California, headed for Paradise – which she believes is New Orleans.

Pastor Denny and his wife Leslie suffer the heartache of losing their beautiful daughter, hearing from her only every few years, and never really knowing where she is or why she left. While Denny pastors the young adults at Orchard Valley Church – mentors them, marries them, dedicates their babies – his only remaining child is lost to him.

But like the other books in The Orchard Valley Stories, this fourth one, The Glassblower, is a story of redemption, another testament to the truth that “His hand is not shortened that it cannot save.”

Jessica’s journey leads her through adventures and excitement, but it is always shadowed by tragedy and pain. But while Jessica feels lost and alone, the Lord never gives up on her. She discovers glassblowing, becomes a renowned artist, and in the end realizes her art is a metaphor of her life.
