توضیحات
The Growing Manual works with data from mostly artist-run collectives across the world to create an archive, a limited edition artwork, a temporary growing experiment, a publication.
This is a collaborative project involving artist-run collectives / communities from around the world. Part publication, part ehibition, part architecture, the project is about networks and information and about gathering, collating, and redistributing this through different forms and processes.
The project works through gathering data – organisation / ideology / growing seeds / growing instructions – from each collective and its particular physical location. This data is dispatched to one of three organisations in the UK, Korea and Malaysia who manage the project and where it will temporarily devolve in each of these three locations to planting and growing identical collections of seeds on plots of land of similar dimensions where specific local conditions will ensure difference and particularity in terms of architecture and growing requirements for what is planted.
