The ORIGINAL MISSION

The ORIGINAL MISSION takes place a few years into the future. When the New Madrid fault line ruptures, it causes a nuclear holocaust, scarring the face of mankind in the wake of its earthquakes and mutagenic radiation.
David Walsh and a few thousand survivors all live with mutation at the last known human settlement, the University of Utah. While digging a food storage tunnel, Walsh and his team discover another tunnel with five young, unaltered young adults. Walsh realizes quickly he cannot let anyone find out about these kids--especially the deranged doctors at the hospital looking for a cure for the mutations. To hide his discovery, Walsh and his friend, Henry Carr, must sacrifice everything to move them to Seattle. The only thing standing in their way is one thousand miles and a mutagenic-altered world filled with monsters looking for a meal.
