The Shadow Flood

Nobody knows where it came from. Nobody knows how it spreads. Everyone fears falling victim to its instantaneous effects. The Shadow Flood has killed millions, but some don’t die when they’re infected. Mutts are immune to the disease, and it even enhances them with inhuman abilities. Although they were first worshipped, many Mutts lose control of themselves, becoming savage and predatory. As fear warped public opinion, Captain Walter Ewell and Doctor Gallagher Jenkins created the Shadow Flood Response Team to find an inoculation against the Flood, but their means are more sinister than anybody could have imagined.

Dewey and Callum, two Mutts trapped inside their facility, will do anything to escape it. Callum will risk anything to save the boy, since Dewey’s the only thing that he cares about. Callum, however, also faces his own demons, battling against his past and his secrets, one being his own enhancement. The decisions he makes matter even more when he discovers Doctor Jenkins' most recent the girl who has survived the Doctor's experiments. Will Dewey and Callum escape the inescapable? What will they find waiting for them in the Flood-ravaged world outside? What will happen if Callum can’t overcome his past?
