⤷ Rating: ★★☆☆☆I was hoping it get better with me reading some words but no..Am I going to read the next book in the series? yes, why? because it's just one book left so why not.and I don't have anything to say but I have so much to say.. This series is a shame retelling to my favorite movie of all the time and the interesting thing that the characters felt like jerks whenever I read their names or did something that disgusted me off the story and the plot.While the premise had potential, the execution left much to be desired. The pacing felt inconsistent, with long stretches of dull, repetitive inner monologues that did little to advance the plot. Instead of propelling the story forward, these moments dragged, making it difficult to stay fully engaged.One of the biggest disappointments was the character development—or rather, the lack thereof. Winnie, who initially seemed like a strong and intriguing protagonist, stagnates in this installment. Her decisions often feel frustratingly inconsistent, and rather than growing into a more complex and empowered character, she spends much of the book caught in the same cycles of doubt and hesitation. Similarly, the love interests, while darkly alluring, begin to feel more like caricatures than fully fleshed-out individuals. Their dynamics with Winnie often lack depth, relying more on repetitive tension rather than meaningful emotional development.Another major issue is the storytelling itself. While the previous books had a certain addictive quality, Their Vicious Darling struggles with meandering plotlines and a lack of real stakes. Conflicts are introduced but resolved too quickly or brushed aside without lasting consequences, making it hard to feel any real sense of urgency or danger. The worldbuilding, which had the potential to be immersive and enchanting, remains underdeveloped, leaving many aspects of Neverland feeling vague rather than richly atmospheric.Additionally, the writing style, which was once captivating, leans too heavily on overused tropes and repetitive descriptions. Scenes that should be tense and emotionally charged often feel forced or overindulgent, lacking the raw intensity that made the earlier books compelling. The romance, which is meant to be dark and seductive, instead comes across as formulaic and, at times, even tiresome. WHAT?!?! That ending though! I'm really enjoying reading this series. I can't put these books down. Also, I love listening to the audiobooks with it as I'm reading. I can't decide who I like with Winnie more. I'm excited to see how this series ends in the last book.
