Reads like a cheesy lifetime movie- mildly entertaining, but usually a hot mess of a story…. Predictable, while still managing to be completely outlandish. The detectives IN the story couldn’t even believe the story. Karen is a model citizen suburban housewife who recklessly drives her car into a pole one night, much to the surprise of everyone who knows her. While she suffers momentary amnesia of the entire night, it’s also revealed she was at the crime scene of a murdered man that night and Karen may not be who she says she is.Very quick pace. You had answers almost before you could begin to ask questions. POV jumped all over the place in almost too quick successions and I wasn’t really a fan of a single character. And the ENDING?? I love an ambiguous “make your own conclusion” ending that is done WELL (a la Verity)… but not an ambiguous ending the leaves the story feeling unfinished.
This was so intense....but it had some similarities to other books I have read. Other than that super good and fast read!!
Pretty average thriller. Around 100 before the ending you can lowkey predict what happend. The ending is kinda open ended, like leaving space for a second book. The police was a little questionable imo but it was ok
