3 stars is generous, but 2 stars seems too harsh. But I did not really care for “Us”. The things I didn’t like in “Him” only got worse in “Us”. Juvenile writing style, felt the target audience was 13-17, which feels confusing when there are explicit love scenes. I also thought some lines felt a bit misogynistic and bi-phobic, and I didn’t care for that. The “conflict” that came up also felt waaaaay overdone. Came off as though the author needed to come up with a conflict in the story, landed on that, and it went on for way too long. Was waaaaay less serious than the author was portraying.Just didn’t care for this one. So much so that I don’t really care to finish the series with “Epic”… even though I will, eventually.
