The #1 New York Times bestselling series! Perfect for fans of George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series.
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard is a solid sequel, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The story has plenty of action, and I loved seeing new characters and powers introduced. However, the pacing was a bit off—some parts felt too slow, while others felt a bit rushed. Mare’s struggle is real, but her constant moodiness got a little tiring. It’s still a decent read with some great moments, just not as exciting as Red Queen. The ending was more dramatic and a bit of a curveball which did bring a level of excitement back.I will be reading the rest of the series as overall, I've enjoyed it. This book just didn't grip me as much as others I've read throughout the year
Wow.....it took longer than Red Queen to build up but I am so glad it did....the ending had me crying and the last couple chapters had me filled with so many emotions! Highly recommend!!

2.5It was good up until the point where shade dies After that I just I'm not impressed
AHHHHHHHHHThat ending dammitIt's hard to not try and skim everything and get to the end lol this series is really good
I hate these type of endings, when the book that follows is not released yet. absolutely hate it. But I loved this one nonetheless. With one simple sentence, the whole plot of the book was turned to dust.I'm hoping Mare will "discover" other abilities or at least really develop and learn to control the one she already has, becasue "lightning girl" is going to need all she can get in the next installment. Not rooting for team Mavin or team Cal, but I admire that both are "supportive" and I pity both... Mare is becoming the anti-hero in this story, but hey - you cannot still be virgin Mary and destroy the order of the world at the same time, or...?
Hypocrisy. Betrayal. Trust. Doubt. Lies. Unity. Division. Sacrifice. Love. Hate. Choice. Consequences.Glass Sword feeds on human betrayal and lies. I just let another book leave me hanging, and the year 2015 is almost ending in about 6 hours in my country. Great way to spend the last couple hours bleeding and crying on the floor. Maybe because I read it before the release date
