A Collection of 19 B-Side short stories, mostly horrors, that were not used for Jacob's parallel collection of short stories, 'He Gave Me a Number'.
WHY NOT INCLUDE THEM ALL IN 'He Gave Me a Number'?
'I didn't want 'He Gave Me a Number' being too long, so I left 18 stories off. Didn't have anything to do with them, so decided to put them here. All the stories in 'We See Things They Never See' could fit into 'He Gave Me a Number' and vice versa. I had a hard time deciding what to use for 'He Gave Me a Number', the main short story collection, so I put them here. The two collections complement each other.'
DO YOU WANT TO DESCRIBE THEM?
I'll leave that as a surprise, I think. Some are horror, and quite nasty, and some are mellower, but still leave an aftertaste. Like the stories in 'He Gave Me a Number'. Some are really disturbing. I had second thoughts about putting them out there, and maybe that's why I hesitated to put them on 'He Gave Me a Number'. The stories here aren't as complete, hence why they're B-Sides. But, then again, sometimes the B-Side is better than the A-Side.
A man dies and then returns in 'Beyond and Back', but he isn't quite the same person upon his return.
Someone you thought you could trust turns out to be a dark threat in 'Melinda'.
A teacher snaps, deciding she's finally had enough in 'The Supply Teacher.'
A writer apologises for the disturbing material he's released to the world in 'An Apology', but the apology comes too late.
Some disturbing things happen in the small town of 'Silvermead'.
