We Went Where They Sent Us... and did as we were told

This remarkable book of untold WWII remembrances documents the vast contribution of Canadians, and re-emphasizes the meaning of Remembrance. This collection of stories is written by both veterans and those with strong connections to the War. The stories are marked with courage, poignancy and humour and give the reader new perspectives on the war--from not only Canadians, but those living in Europe during that tumultuous time. The book chronicles multi-dimensional experiences of men and women serving in the army, air force, navy and merchant fleet, and of homemakers and children (on both sides of the conflict).
