A Linde is the tenth standalone romance novel in the Wright series. From the moment of my introduction to Hollin Abbey and Piper Medina, I eagerly awaited their story. Linde did not disappoint. She delivered a fun and passionate, enemies to lovers romance, with enough steamy moments to set your reading device on fire. It was a pleasure revisiting Lubbock, Texas, where the Wrights are considered royalty. Humor, sexy times, romance and drama will keep you entertained from start to finish.Hollin Abbey is a master of two things, making wine and breaking hearts. None of the women he dated held his interest beyond the third date, which led to a string of broken hearts. Piper Medina, a fellow wine maker and business rival, is the only one who gets under his skin. The relationship between these two bordered on hostility. They knew how to push each other’s buttons and not necessarily in a good way, which amused their family and friends. However, beneath all this hostility lay a latent sexual attraction. Hollin and Piper antagonistic behavior towards each other, while trying to deny the attraction brewing between them, amused me. Although sometimes their actions bordered on immaturity. It didn’t take long for them to give into their attraction and talk about hot. This, however, did not prevent Piper from harboring doubts about Hollin, and his reputation did not win him any favors. Convincing Piper he wanted more than a hook up would prove to be his biggest challenge.Hollin and Piper made great rivals, but even better lovers. It was a delight watching Hollin win over Piper. He sure knew how to turn up the charm. Throughout the progression of the story, we see how much he cared for her. Although, he made few mistakes here and there, one of which almost damaged his relationship with Piper. He redeemed himself in the end. I especially loved how he came through for Piper, helping her to fulfil her dreams.The story provided background information as to the reason behind Hollin’s three date rule. A measure he put in place to guard his heart from further emotional upheaval. I admired Pipers’ determination and her dedication to her job and her family. What I didn’t like was her rush to judgment of Hollin, based on his past, when he showed his interest in getting to know her better. However, she showed her maturity when she gave him a chance to prove he had changed. Characters from the previous book made an appearance. I had fun catching up with them. Family and friendships played a big role in the story. Wright Rival was a delightful story, which will hook you from the start.
