Voir toutI'd like to nominate Uncle Andrew for the "most nefarious literary uncles" list. Someone has to keep one of those somewhere, right? This is honestly one of my favorite Narnia books and always has been. The start of things is almost always one of my favorite parts of any series, and this is the beginning of Narnia. (I will also fight to the death about it being the first book in the series and not "The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe" but that's beside the point.) Seeing certain characters for the very first time and the very beginnings of how things were before the Pevensies stumble upon the land is always fun, and the audiobook version of this was a delight from beginning to end. It felt like someone was reading me the story again, and that was a lot of fun.
B+, loved the fantasy and the plot! A few spelling errors and not a big fan of the older English used
I started Narnia with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in high school and really enjoyed it. As an adult returning to this world, I decided to give it a go by reading it chronologically instead of publication order and WOW!
