This book series selects 200 poems of Beidao written during 1972 to 2008. Being separated with the going abroad in 1988, the series consists of two volumes and this book is the first volume. Beidao is an important representative of the hazy poetry school after the Cultural Revolution. His most famous poems such as Answer, Everything, Declaration, and Ending or Beginning have shocked many Chinese people and shown the criticism and negation, doubt and confusion of the generation growing up in the Cultural Revolution after losing their belief. Beidao's poems are serious and thought-provoking with strong criticalness and thought energy, which always explore and question the truth and value of the human, the era and the self in the paradox and breakage.
