I read this book in two parts so I'm just going to do a review for both of them here.
It definitely took a while for me to get into it, as there's a LOT of world building that happens throughout and a lot of terminology you're thrown into in the very early stages of getting to know the plot and characters which is something I'm less used to. Once the plot got going it was fantastic, especially at the end (of Part 1 as well as the whole book) where it hit climax after climax and I was HOOKED. It's been a while since I've read it, but I distinctly remember especially loving Shallan's confrontation with Jasnah and revealing that she could see Shadesmar. I also got so excited when one of the interludes mentioned that spren know when they are being measured and can be entangled! I think the magic system in the series is fascinating but having it include quantum stuff made it especially fun for me.
I think it's a really well written book with a fantastic lore and in depth social/cultural and magic systems you get to explore, and I love how I feel like I know absolutely nothing about how everything works even though we're presented with it as the normal way for this world to be. There are so many questions set up naturally as part of the world-building that every small reveal feels exciting.
