PAINFUL CORRECTNESS —
The new dean of Hartley Gorman College arrives with an agenda of political correctness that hits Professor Carl Burns where it hurts: Shakespeare, Milton, Homer, Wordsworth—all of his DWEMs (Dead White European Males) must go. True, the new curriculum at HGC has wrought some controversy, but when a popular professor takes a fatal flying leap out a window, it’s death by anybody’s definition. Between grading papers and vying for the affection of the librarian, Burns discovers a sordid tangle of lust, scandal and secrets that draw him into a chase for an elusive and unlikely killer.
