Using her daggers she’s able to break a spell where a group of college boys take control of the room and those within it. Since it required police action the detective in charge of the case learns of her involvement.When similar incidents crop up throughout the city, in public and private venues, the police detective comes back to ask Stacey’s help. Police witches and wizards have not been able to break the spell as easily as the Daggerwoman. Helping the police, Nash moves Stacey through the shadows to cut the protection of the incidents as they crop up throughout the city.Asking the witch, Pepper Paull, for help only lets them know that this magic does not conform to the normal frequencies of magic. The daggers are still the only thing to break the spell. Working with the police Stacey finds the case soon moving from the city of Baltimore and even beyond the borders of the Consolidated States… but she doesn’t go alone and when she returns… well, the number of those helping her increases to meet the needs of the moment.During this time Stacey’s relationship with Nash undergoes some subtle changes, Angie goes through some very serious changes in her life and some very important characters move into Stacey’s life.This is not the vampire’s last story...
