Billy and the Bees is the first in the Billy Book series. Little Billy is a typical 8-10 year old boy who loves to play outside, and enjoys an adventure. In this first story he gets a little too adventurous with a beehive and has to learn a tough lesson as he is chased across meadow, forest, ocean and desert the bees. In the end, his mother is there to comfort him, as she is in each of the Billy Book stories. Children six to ten will enjoy reading this lighthearted lesson in rhyme, and smaller children will love to have it read to them. The illustrations (by Nyisha Haynes) bring the story to life and endear little Billy to the reader's heart. Adults and children alike will relate to this young boy and his playful adventures.
