It pulled me deep into the lives of these characters: flawed, human, and willing to do anything for love.At its heart, this is a story of sisterhood — shaped by the loss of their fourth sister. Avery, Bonnie, and Lucky each navigate grief in their own way, and that’s where the beauty of the book lies. Bonnie’s strength and vulnerability really resonated with me, Lucky’s chaotic charm was unforgettable, and while Avery took a bit longer to connect with, her journey still felt real and necessary.𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 was my favorite of the three sisters — the one I related to the most. Caught between her dreams and her grief, she had to hit rock bottom to truly see where her life was heading. As the one who found Nicky in her final moments, Bonnie’s grief carried a weight that felt different from the others — and yet, somehow, not so different after all.𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲, the youngest, came across as carefree — and often careless. She was spiraling through career struggles and drowning her grief in alcohol and drugs. Often whiny and pampered, she seemed untouched by the weight of responsibility her sisters carried. But beneath that chaos was someone deeply lost, trying to find her way through pain she didn’t know how to face.𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲, the eldest, carried the weight of being the mother figure the sisters never had. I could understand her emotions, her sacrifices, and the quiet strength it took to hold everyone together. The relationships felt real — flawed, but mendable through love, patience, and care❤️ Everyone in the book was battling their own demons, but with the quiet strength of family, those struggles felt a little more bearable.The ending was heartwarming and stirred so many emotions in me. It helped me understand my own grief through the lens of these three sisters’ journeys. They weren’t perfect — but in their imperfections, they were just right for each other.
