Description
As she wanders into a charming bookshop that feels worlds away from the clamor of battle, the orc begins to uncover a different kind of strength. Surrounded by tales of heroism and magic, she learns that there is much more to courage than wielding a sword. The shop, filled with captivating stories and the gentle touch of friendship, becomes a haven for her healing spirit.
Her journey challenges preconceived notions of what it means to be a warrior. Instead of relying solely on physical prowess, she begins to value wisdom, connection, and the power of storytelling. Through the pages of the books she devours and the relationships she forms, she finds a new purpose, transforming her experience from a setback into an opportunity for growth and self-discovery.
As this orc delves deeper into the literary world, she learns that every tale has the power to change lives, including her own. With each turn of a page, she starts to realize that sometimes the most profound battles are fought within, leading her to ultimately redefine her identity and the meaning of victory.

Voir toutI will read any Cozy fantasy this man writes, I love these books so much!
3 stars; It wasn't bad and I liked it. I thoroughly enjoyed Legends & Lattes so reading this was a no-brainer. Halfway through, I lost interest in continuing. It might've been a mix of real life stuff and the fact the cozy fantasy was feeling too slow for me that had me working on this book for the past 6 months, but by God, she's finished!I will say, one thing I dislike heavily in prequels is the amount of connections the author has to tie-in to the main book to make it a prequel. In Bookshops & Bonedust, I didn't get too much of that and I appreciate that so much.Uncertain if I will ever get to book 2? book 3? whatever Brigands & Breadknives is numbered, but I hope it's a better reading experience than I had here.
