Description

Caransay

The novel is set on a remote, and fictitious, Atlantic island lying off Scotland’s west coast.

Rory O’Connor is released from prison
on a sunny Spring morning with scores
to settle. He has served his time, eight
years in HMP Kilmarnock, colloquially known as Bowhouse jail, and has used them
well. Rory has plans for himself—and
others.

His first call is to the big city, Glasgow.
No one is expecting him. He is intent on
collecting reparation for his years of
confinement, but not to outstay his
welcome. His next step, the darker part
of his revenge, requires going home.

To Caransay.

To the remnants of his family, to a laird whose past is about to catch up with him, and to his young brother Liam, over whom he has a potent leverage.

But things begin to unhinge Rory’s plans;
a love affair, an unforseen change in his
brother’s circumstances, an event from
his past and another from his recent past
come back to haunt him. Friends he
trusted betray him, and he finds that
revenge can be a two-way street.
