Dragged on too much in the middle for my taste. Had a hard time understanding the UK slang and police acronyms.

This is set in Aberdeen not in Maryland but in Scotland. A city of grey buildings, snow and rain. Lots of rain. This book will bury the image of 'Sunset Song' STONE COLD DEAD! It is brilliant but 5 star brilliant? No. The introduction of Edinburgh is unnecessary (but that is my opinion).
