Description
Set in ancient Egypt during a time steeped in superstition and reverence for the gods, the story unfolds within a wealthy family that harbors secrets as dark as the tombs that surround them. When a series of suspicious deaths disrupt the lives of its members, tensions rise and trust begins to fray. Known for her masterful storytelling, Christie deftly weaves a tale of intrigue, where each character’s motives are as enigmatic as the hieroglyphs that adorn the walls of their home.
As the body count increases, the protagonist must navigate through layers of deception and hidden truths to unveil a cunning murderer among them. The rich historical backdrop adds depth to the narrative, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the rituals and dangers of the era. With every turn, suspense builds, and the boundaries between friend and foe blur, captivating readers until the very last page.
In this gripping mystery, Agatha Christie not only explores the complexities of human nature, but also questions the very essence of fate and justice, leaving readers pondering the true cost of ambition and betrayal. Each twist reveals the fragility of life, proving that even in a world ruled by the gods, death is sometimes the greatest bargain of all.

Avis
Enjoyable read, but if I can guess the culprit as early on as I did, I can't give it a 4.
