Description
Amid the rustle of leaves and the whispers of ancient curses, Geralt encounters challenges that test his skills, wisdom, and humanity. His path is intertwined with that of complex characters, each with their own stories and secrets, enriching the tapestry of this unforgiving world. Encounters with sorceresses, kings, and common folk reveal the intricate web of relationships and responsibilities Geralt must manage.
Ultimately, Geralt's journey reflects a deeper exploration of fate, choice, and the essence of what it means to be a hero. As he confronts both external monsters and inner demons, he discovers that sometimes the greatest battles are fought within oneself, shaping the man behind the legend.

So, I decided I was at a need to read this series thanks to the Netflix show that I recently got into. And it definitely hasn't disappointed on the first book, I love the detail that has gone into it, the wording, the dialogue, the characters such a great first instalment to help you get familiar with who I'm guessing are the more prominent characters in the series. Now I have to hold myself back from just breezing through the series even though I very much want to.
Have a lot of nostalgia for this one, I think it's fun and the third to last and final short stories are golden - genuinely some good writing thrown around here, but the translation is awful. It's practically a meme but there's gotta be a better way to describe the fight scenes than by saying the word pirouette every other paragraph. A lot of character depth is lacking here too, but I chalk that up to the translation
