Voir toutSuper good story but is a little bit of a drag in the middle
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A Torch Against the Night ate. This book had me stressed, emotional, and totally hooked from start to finish. The plot never let up — like, every chapter had me going “wait WHAT just happened??” Elias and Laia’s journey was everything, and the tension?? unreal. My only tiny con is that I didn’t love Helene’s story at the beginning — it felt a little slow — but once it picked up, I was obsessed. The ending had me shook. Easily a 5-star read and such a wild ride from start to finish
I'm going to give this a four out of five. My first time reading this I gave it a three out of five because I literally for some reason just couldn't stay in the book. I couldn't really get into it. But this time around I was enthralled. I was reading every word. I was eating it up and digesting it fully. But I'm not giving it a full 5 out of five just because I feel like there are so many points where like I literally whether it is because I have read the book before or not. I just was like okay anyways like I've seen this happen in so many times in books. I already know it's about to happen. Like there wasn't much to the story/ plot that like had me on the edge of my seat of like. Oh my God didn't expect that to happen but I'm giving it a better rating than last year because I was actually able to sit down cover to cover and enjoy it this time. And I definitely need to go ahead and get the next book.
