Avis
Intriguing alien culture and a good adventure. Although it is fairly easy to spot who the bad guy is, who the sought after guy is, and there's some behavior by Picard that I feel is uncharacteristic for him. But then again, this is one of the earlier books, so on screen characterisation was still fairly fresh then as well.
