Voir toutThis was a blind book from the library and I was really excited to read something by the author of Wicked but this ended up making me reconsider even reading Wicked like I’ve always wanted to. While I do think it was cool that he used an actual historical family and world history, that’s the only positive thing I have to say about it. The whole story was weird and oddly fragmented making it really hard to follow. There were so many parts that didn’t make any sense to me — like the entire being of the dwarves and how randomly everything materializes, how Bianca apparently falls asleep for YEARS after the hunter leaves her in the woods, what the ending for Lucrezia even was — or were just so disturbingly weird and morbid. I finished this book with way more questions than answers. Can someone convince me that Wicked is better than this??
