When Ishmael decides he must set sail, he chooses to go as a dragon bounty hunter. Wild leviathans have been ravaging mariners on the open ocean, stealing their gold and killing their crews, but now an industry of bounty hunters has sprung up to fight back, and Ishmael is keen to join them.

Just before he signs on to the Pequod, he chances to meet a tattooed pagan named Queequeg. A good Christian man, Ishmael knows their attraction is forbidden, but his soul is nonetheless awakened by this strange and brave harpooneer. Their passion for each other is taboo in nineteenth century America, so they must keep their desire secret.

This is a sexy story of love, passion, and adventure on the high seas. It's told through the immortal words of fifteen different classic works in the public domain. Moby Dick by Herman Melville forms the backbone of the story, and fourteen other authors' words are spliced in, and the whole thing is edited to form an entirely new story. Most of the novel comes from books which have been banned at some point (including Moby Dick), in an effort to echo the forbidden love of the two sailors.
