Offender Profiling

Aimed at professionals involved in criminal justice work, this text presents an introduction to criminal profiling. In the first section, Palermo (who teaches psychiatry and criminology) and Kocsis (a forensic psychologist) explain the connections between the major violent crimes and the underlying personality of the offenders. The second section considers crime scenes and how criminals sometimes alter them to mislead the police.
