Description
Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren's capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can only be collected one unit at a time from individual people.
By using breath and drawing upon the color in everyday objects, all manner of miracles and mischief can be accomplished. It will take considerable quantities of each to resolve all the challenges facing Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris; Susebron the God King; Lightsong, reluctant god of bravery, and mysterious Vasher, the Warbreaker.

Voir toutYet another master class in world building from Brandon Sanderson. I love how he manages to come up with these weirdly unique magic systems in his books. The characters in this book are very well written and have unique personalities that keep them very interesting.I love that the story does a great job at making you think about who are the good and bad people and how it's sometimes a matter of perspective rather than just being so black and white. The way the main characters grow throughout the story is so refreshing as well but then Brandon Sanderson has been good at this in other books of his that I've read as well. It's a great setup for Stormlight Archives and an excellent cosmere novel!
