Description

Stephen Mace explores the Magick of using power to deal with the two institutions that seem to do the most to cripple our access to it: the Corporation and the State. Of these, the former is surely more odious than the latter, and infinitely less vital. Most odious of all, of course, is the carnal union of the two, but such depravity may tend toward the decline of both parties, and Seizing Power examines the dynamics of this process as well.

"Mace's ability, so rare in the magickal genre, to establish a direct connection between the theory of magick and social and political processes is striking. Absolutely recommended!" — Frank Cebulla, Der Golem

"Fascinating analyses of the interface between demonology and Chaos Magick." — Marik

"Absolutely recommended!" — Frank Cebulla, Der Golem

Stephen Mace was introduced to the study of sorcery in 1970, when a Tarot reading predicted an imminent disaster in his life. Three days later the State Police raided his apartment, confiscated his stock and trade, bound him with handcuffs, and locked him in their tomb/womb for six weeks. In the 35 years since he has dedicated himself to the discovery of the fundamental dynamics of the art, the better to empower individuals to defy the oppression of the State Apparatus. He has written several books, including Taking Power and Shaping Formless Fire.
