Gillian Romano thrives in the whirlwind of event planning, where surprises are the norm and challenges become opportunities. She has mastered the art of maintaining her composure, but her skills are put to the test when an unexpected crisis throws her latest project into chaos. As she struggles to navigate the tumultuous waters of her profession, she finds herself longing for a sense of security and stability.

Just when Gillian thinks she can handle everything on her own, a dashing protector steps into the picture. Through their interactions, a deep connection develops, revealing layers of vulnerability beneath their professional facades.

As Gillian learns to open up to him, she begins to confront her own fears and insecurities. With his support, she discovers that resilience is not just about managing crises, but also about allowing oneself to be loved and protected. Against the backdrop of high-stakes events and personal revelations, both Gillian and her guardian embark on a journey of growth and discovery.

In a world where every detail matters and each moment counts, Gillian must decide whether to embrace the love and support offered to her or continue to face her challenges alone. Her ultimate choice will redefine not just her career, but also her heart.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Deeper Than The Ocean is the fourth book in the Deep Six series. This is my first time reading the series, but I had no difficulty following. The author provided sufficient back story, which made it easy to get into this installment without feeling at a lost. However, after reading this installment, one has the urge to go back and pick up the other books in the series.I had a good time with this book. The romance, the suspense, the humour and the banter between the characters kept me entertained throughout the story. In this installment we get Chrissy and Wolf’s story. Wolf, a former navy seal, and the members of his salvaging team (also former navy seals) found the Santa Christina, however there was one problem. They did not find the treasure. To distract himself from the disappointment of not finding the treasure, Wolf made it his mission to convince Chrissy that they were meant for each other. He would have a hard time convincing her, as Chrissy had a stubborn streak a mile long. It didn’t help that she believed falling in love was a fallacy. To make matters worse, she kept judging him based on an incident which occurred between them in the past. However, when Chrissy accidentally stumbled on a crime making her a target of cold-blooded criminals, Wolf ceased the opportunity to protect her and in the process prove to her that falling in love is real.I enjoyed the romance, which developed between the main characters. Although, several times Chrissy frustrated me with her refusal to acknowledge her feelings. The many excuses she hid behind to avoid coming to terms with her feelings highlighted her stubborn. Luckily, Wolf was not the type to give up easily. The glimpse I got into the relationship between the couple appearing in the next installment, has me excited for its release.I enjoyed the suspense thread, although some some  aspects had me shaking my head. I could not understand how they failed to see that these incidents were attacks against Chrissy and not mere coincidences. The revelation of the true identity of head honcho came as no surprise, as I suspected their involvement from the moment of their introduction.Conclusion/RecommendationOverall, Deeper Than the Ocean was a solid read and one I  would recommend to fans of the genre. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
