Charles "Chub" Boran, born into a family of meager means in Sanford, NC, worked his way from the very bottom to become the President and CEO of a textile mill. Now, in upstate New York, this successful, self-made man must face even greater obstacles, those within himself. Boran plunges into a world of sex and drugs as his mind fights an inner battle between good and evil. Corruption and greed seek to gain control of his consciousness, fulfilling his need for wealth and sexual satisfaction. Another force, one of kindness and fellowship, attempts to push itself to the forefront. What forces must come together to decide the victor? What concessions will have to be made? How can this self-made man find his rightful place after the battle is done? Bandra is a life long resident of North Carolina. Now a retired attorney and business consultant, he enjoys testing the power of the written word. Although The Fabric Maker is completely fictional, Bandra's professional experiences and extensive travels have contributed to the details of the story and the development of its characters. He is currently working on a compilation of poetry that he has written over the past 25 years and is penning a suspense novel that takes place on the plains of central Africa.
